Industrial emissions management has become one of the most complex challenges for environmental professionals in companies and beyond. Evolving regulations, increasing community expectations, and heightened attention to real impacts on health and air quality are reshaping the field.
In this context, the “EMISSIONI” seminar was conceived as a high-level technical workshop for environmental professionals who face emissions management issues daily, turning regulatory obligations and operational challenges into effective project and operational decisions.
After the strong interest shown during the 2025 edition in Venice, designed as a technical forum for industry representatives, institutions, and practitioners, the event is returning with a new edition in Bologna. This edition focuses on regulatory frameworks, monitoring, health implications, legal risks, and case studies.
Thursday, March 19, 2026
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Palazzo Gnudi (Sala degli Specchi), Bologna, Italy
EMISSIONI is not a generalist conference.
It was created to address the real needs of those who manage authorisations, controls, complaints, investments and technological decisions.
The seminar is tailored to those involved with emissions, authorizations, and sustainability in productive environments, including:
The Bologna program includes sessions on air quality and emission trend analysis, with technical contributions from ARPAE, as well as a focus on health impacts in collaboration with the Italian National Institute of Health.
Compliance is addressed for what it truly is: a balance between technical requirements, responsibilities and risk.
For this reason, the legal perspective is not treated as an add-on but is fully integrated into the technical discussion, with an operational focus on liabilities and risk management, continuing the approach adopted in previous editions.
The “solutions” section goes beyond describing technologies. It presents real-world experiences, case studies and multidisciplinary approaches (monitoring, modelling, treatment, data management and communication).
This is where the seminar becomes truly valuable: helping participants move from “what the regulation says” to “what actually works in the plant".
One of the strengths of the Bologna edition is the combined presence of institutions, associations and specialists, including Emilia-Romagna Region and Confindustria Emilia-Romagna.
On the technical side, contributions will be provided by leading experts such as Gaetano Settimo, Domenico Giuri, Vanes Poluzzi and Alessandro Dal Pozzo.
Participants usually attend EMISSIONI looking for three things and find them in one place:
1. Clear, applicable regulatory updates (not just theory)
2. An integrated technical perspective: monitoring, data, impacts, technology and management
3. Real-world experiences and peer-to-peer discussion among companies, technicians, institutions and consultants
EMISSIONI is promoted by Gesteco, LOD and Labiotest, companies within the Gruppo Luci that have been operating for years in industrial environmental management.
The motivation behind the seminar is very practical: working in the field, these organisations encounter daily technical, regulatory and relational challenges, including interactions with local communities, that cannot be solved with a single action, but require an integrated approach.
This integrated approach, combining monitoring, analysis, interpretation, technology and management, is the defining feature of the EMISSIONI format.
The DNA of the EMISSIONI technical seminar has been built over time.
As early as 2013, public and technical initiatives on impacts, regulations and solutions (with a focus on odorous emissions and measurement tools such as olfactometry and dispersion modelling) involved Labiotest and LOD, in collaboration with the Municipality of Verona.
In 2014, the technical pathway was further consolidated with the seminar “Environment - Emissions, Air, Noise”, organised by Gesteco with partners and hosted in several Italian cities (Lucca, Naples, Verona, Bari), receiving wide participation.
Located in the heart of Bologna and known as the city’s small “Versailles,” Palazzo Gnudi is a 16th-century historic residence that preserves its grandeur while offering a refined setting for conferences, academic and cultural events.
An elegant venue where history and contemporary dialogue come together.
The appointment with EMISSIONI is on Thursday, March 19, starting at 9:00 AM.
We look forward to welcoming you to this technical forum to strengthen your expertise in industrial emissions management.
