We evaluate the environmental footprint of LT AirPlus through an LCA study

Our concrete step toward more conscious resource management

We recently completed a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of one of our neutralising products, LT AirPlus. The goal was to gain a clearer understanding of the environmental impacts associated with its production, distribution and end‑of‑life management.

This study represents part of our journey toward a more conscious and responsible approach, grounded in the objective evaluation of our activities.

An analysis to measure and improve

The LCA - conducted in accordance with internationally recognised methodologies - enabled us to gather useful data on the choices we have already made, such as the use of recycled materials and lower‑impact energy sources, and to identify further improvement opportunities throughout the supply chain.

Thanks to this work, the company has been able to gain greater clarity about which phases of the product’s life cycle have the greatest environmental influence, and how targeted interventions can help reduce the overall footprint.

The role of everyday choices

Among the findings, the study highlighted how seemingly minor decisions (for example the packaging format or the procurement method) can significantly influence the product’s environmental profile.

This result confirms the importance of an integrated sustainability approach, one that involves not only the company but also customers, suppliers and partners.

An LCA as a tool supporting the company’s strategy

For Labiotest, the LCA is not a final milestone, but rather a working tool enabling us to steer future decisions based on objective data and to promote a process of continuous improvement.

“The LCA analysis is a reliable mirror of the choices we make every day. It makes visible the benefits of good practices and helps us improve consciously. For us, sustainability means this: concreteness, measurability and openness to continuous improvement.” - Adriano Luci

Toward measurable and shared sustainability

With this project, we reaffirm our commitment to a more attentive management of resources and the environment, convinced that only through measurement, transparency and collaboration can environmental challenges be addressed in a credible and lasting way.
